Would RecommendThis will prevent a gently opened door (by the wind for example) from hitting something, but it is fairly thin metal and bendable, against a heavy door opened forcefully it would fail. Consider it a passive door stop.

Would Not RecommendI’m disappointed with the durability of this black hinge pin door stop. It has broken twice in just two years, and both times it was my 2-year-old daughter who broke it simply by opening the door. She is obviously not that strong, so I expected the door stop to withstand normal everyday use much better. While the design is convenient, the quality and durability are disappointing. Having to replace it twice in two years is frustrating, and I would expect a much sturdier product.
