Would RecommendI have both the wood and mdf versions of this baseboard in my house. The mdf has a smoother finish, but doesn’t hold up to foot traffic and humidity. If your looking for a quality colonial style baseboard, the wood option is best overall.

Baseboards Lack Quality
The availability of 12' lengths allows for minimal more joints. The quality (chips and splits) of the boards were less than expected. Had to send half the order back for replacement.
