Would RecommendBought for a lid to a banquette, it was little too big but that's my fault for not measuring first. We were able to cut it to the size we needed. It does the job of opening and closing.

Would RecommendI purchased this hinge for a cedar chest and it worked great, however I did struggle to align the top to the chest. I was able to finally get everything aligned and it closes smoothly and sits level. I would recommend this hinge for large wooden chests.

Light Duty Hinge 0.040" thick
Would Not RecommendAt age 70, I still have not learned you get what you pay for. This was cheaper than an offering from another big box store but the material is only 0.040 vs the more common 0.048". May not seem like much of a difference but its only 58% as stiff (a cubic thing). Also, the wire the hinge pivots around is not well secured and I had to pinch it to secure it with a hammer and flatblade screwdriver. This is an ok light duty hinge but wish I had a stronger one.
