What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the tarp's exceptional durability and heavy-duty construction, with most reporting it withstands storms, wind, and heavy loads without tearing. Many appreciate its thickness and note it covers large objects like trucks and RVs effectively. However, some report the advertised size runs smaller than labeled, requiring upsizing. Several mention grommets and seams can fail under high tension or improper installation. A few experienced issues in extreme heat. Despite these drawbacks, most customers consider it a resilient, worthwhile investment.

Would RecommendI purchased this tarp to protect the roof for a Michigan winter. So far it has sealed the leak and with plywood under it hopefully it will last the winter.

Emergency Cover
Would RecommendWhen the hurricane blew through this year we were afraid we'd loose the pool. We only lost the cover thankfully! The square cover over the round pool actually worked out! The grommets were perfectly spaced for our pool area!

Worth the Money
Would RecommendWe used this to cover a portion of our yard tat gets muddy during a party when it was scheduled to rain. It held up with chairs, tables, tents, and lots of people walking on it. After the party, it still looked new. Very happy with the quality!

Not the same as older one's
These new brown tarps are very low quality. I've purchased four of them over a two year period of time. Six months max on how long they last to cover wood pile. We used to get great quality tarps at Lowe's, no longer!
Not the same tarp
Would Not RecommendBeen using these tarps for years to cover my boat. First two: got 5 great years from each one in the snow and ice with a second life covering the wood pile. Bought a new one last year and lost all the brown waterproofing off the top, will not get a second year from it. Not sure what happen but for $100.00 it should last more than a year. Too bad.
Tarping flat roof in FL
Would RecommendWill let you know how it holds up over the long haul, but for now I'll tell you I will wrap edges in stapled 1x2s for stability, screw 1x2s into soffitt and do the same for where the tarps overlap on the roof. This is truly a heavy duty tarp. It has weight and substance. Dor emergency long term roof protection, it beats the blue tarps all day long. Also, choice of heat retention or reflection.

Horrible product - failed from the sun in 60 days!
Would Not RecommendBought in store on 4-28-17 for $92.98 plus tax. Started cracking within 4-8 wks. Completely failed from UV. Removed on 8-5-17 - literally disintegrated in my hands. Past Lowes 90 day return policy. LOWES SHOULD REMOVE FROM SHELVES & REFUND $$$s to ALL THAT PURCHASED THIS TERRIBLE PRODUCT.
Must use correctly
I have used the silver (10 mil) tarps and they last years! But they only last if they are used correctly. If I was neglectful in tying it down securely or put it over something with sharp edges, or if wind was able to get under it and whip it around, sure it failed soon, but the failure was mine, not the tarp. When I learned through trial and error how to secure them they honestly have lasted for years now. There is no perfect tarp, but this is about the best I've ever purchased.
Great Tarp!
Would RecommendI'm surprised people gave this tarp a low rating. I used this tarp for 4 winters to cover my boat. Most of the eyelets stayed intact. It only ripped when I failed to use a rubber cap on my rocket launchers. I bought a tarp with a high rating last winter, 2015-16, from ebay and it blew apart in 2 months. I cursed myself for saving $15 and not going to Lowes. I looked forward to picking this one up again until I found the low ratings. I had a great experience with it.
I've been buying the heavy duty silver tarps for years and they've always lasted me a few years. I bouth this one last year and it's already going in the trash. Too much money for a cheap quality tarp. I wonder where it's made?????
Camping beware
Would RecommendIf you have some sort of frame it's a good tarp because it's thick 10mil and silver reflects some of the heat away. But don't tie a rope on all 4 corners the grommets will rip out and tear your tarp. If you had some sort of A-frame you can secure it to and support it, it would be great. It being 10mil, it's a heavy tarp.
Covered my boat with this tarp and 3 weeks later it tore. Absolute junk. Taking it back
