What Customers Are Saying

The tarp appears to have mixed performance. Many customers found it durable and effective for short-term use, with the large size praised for covering large areas. However, several reported issues with long-term durability, such as the grommets and eyelets tearing and the material degrading over time, especially when exposed to sun, wind, and weather. Some customers experienced the tarp failing or blowing away in strong winds. Overall, the tarp seems suitable for temporary, short-term use, but may not hold up well for long-term or heavy-duty applications.

Not as good as it should be

Would Not Recommend

The material did not withstand a light breeze, grommets ripped out and the internal frame line snapped. Without this rain cover, I had to move all 30 participants intomy friends home.

50 x 30 tarp

Would Not Recommend

The grommets are totally useless out of the package. Two fell out during unfolding. If trying to use it to avoid roof leaks . . . .use blocks not tie downs or roofing "cap nails". Been there done that . . . .blocks weighting down the perimeter is best . . .. PERIOD !. No value for the money . . .but you may be able to fend off the worst if you take my advice. AGAIN the grommets are functionally useless. 6 mill plastic sheeting is just as effective !

Blue Hawk 30x50 polyethylene tarp

Would Not Recommend

I bought a Blue Hawk 30x50 polyethylene tarp. It cost $120.00.It is a cheaply made tarp.It rips very easily and was missing grommets right out of the package. If I didn't need it that night to protect a construction project from the rain I would have returned it. What a piece of junk.

Tarp like a kite

Would Recommend

I put this tarp over the entire back of my house to protect the roof while waiting for repairs. It acted like a kite when a breeze came up and the grommets were obviously not going to hold. So I tossed a rope over it in four places and secured them to the eves. That cured the problem of acting like a kite but it doesn't last very long in the sun.

Barely sufficient

Would Recommend

I was grateful to find this huge tarp at a local Lowes store, to save my brother's home from water damage during his roofing project, but it was thinner than I had hoped. Even the first week, there were puncture points that caused some leakage, but it was minimal. Being able to cover the entire north side of the roof with one tarp was a great benefit.

Grommets are weak.

Would Recommend

If the grommets were a little more secure the tarp would have gotten a higher rating. If you are covering something in a windy area and are using the grommets for your tie down connections, make sure you aren't in a windy location. The grommets won't hold in a stiff wind.
