Would Not RecommendI was able to repair my old pull chain lamp with this part but I had to use half of my old socket because the half of this new one with the female threads was so oversized that there was zero thread engagement between the two halves. Thankfully, the female half of my old lamp socket was still OK and it fit the male half of this socket well, so I was able to complete the repair.
