What Customers Are Saying
Customers are sharply divided on this vinyl flooring cutter. Many report it fails to cut thicker LVP, LVT, or 6mm planks as advertised, with frequent breakage including handles drooping and bases cracking after initial use. However, a significant group praises it for thin peel-and-stick vinyl tile, noting smooth, accurate cuts that outperform box cutters. Several criticize the cheap construction and feel misled by marketing suggesting compatibility with thicker materials. Overall, satisfaction depends entirely on application—excellent for thin tiles, unsuitable for thicker planks.

Would RecommendNot too stable, light plastic except for handle/blades, but does cut with a bit of convincing on a reasonable self stick tile flooring material. I did about 250 sq ft install and it worked for the job.
Cuts flooring very easily!
Would RecommendCuts the flooring with ease! I did see other reviews that it is flimsy and breaks easy, but ours did not break if you are not rough with it I dont think you will have any issues.
Stopped working after 10 cuts
Would Not RecommendI really was hoping the reviews were wrong for this one. it is only for the most thing pieces of vinyl. if you are looking for a product that can do large jobs with quality material this is no better than an old school paper cutter
Perhaps Read My Review First
Would RecommendThe product is excellent and well worth the price if used for intended purpose. I typically find poor reviews on most products are from people who do not follow instructions. This product is NOT for plank or backwash tile. It is ONLY for vinyl tile that is less than 4 mm thick (VCT should work as well if < 4 mm thick). If you do not understand metric then 1/8" vinyl tile is fine. A good example is peel and stick Cuts beautifully for that purpose. This will significantly speed up your...
Don't Buy
Would Not RecommendYou know the old saying you get what you pay for. In this case I didn't even get that. It cut 4 pieces of tile before the blade bent . I was not cutting super thick tile so that is not the issue. Stick with the blade and snap to fit much faster and it actually works.
This item broke the second time my husband used it. It's very cheaply made.
not good
Would Not RecommendSo it cuts pretty well, but the problem is the base cracked on me while i was using it. If the base of the product was stronger it would be pretty decent.
bad design
Would Not RecommendI have used this style of cutter for many years. The blades on this unit draw close together to the point where they end up on top of each other & bind. cutters I have used have a flat edge on the bottom & only moving blade is sharp. I will be returning this 1
Should change specifications a little
Would RecommendFor cutting vinyl, it should specify rigid vinyl. I bought this to cut 12 x 12 vinyl backsplash tiles which were very flexible. It only bent it, marked it all up, and made a small cut. Im still keeping the tool because it worked well on rigid vinyl squares that I tested. Maybe just reword the specs a little. Thanks
WORKS GREAT!
Would RecommendWhen shopping around for this cutter i read many reveiws many bad reviews. I still got it for it fits my budget and I was amazed worked GREAT!. Nit sure what kind of tiles all these guys are cutting but if your cutting VCT works great and very well priced trust me i’ve shopped around.
Works better than carpet knife!
Would RecommendDefinitely recommend this over a carpet knife, or box cutter, all day long, every day!!! Fast, straight, even cuts.
Don't buy this
Would Not RecommendThis is a piece of junk. I tried to cut 7" vinyl plank flooring and the thing nearly broke. I don't think this would cut cardboard. Lowes needs to take these off of their shelves.
Base cracked
Would Not RecommendFirst couple cuts were ok. The plastic base cracked on the third cut making it unusable. Base should be steel reinforced.
Looks better than it cuts
Would Not RecommendNice looking cutter and has well places measure Scale. Cuts to trim a half to an inch worked well but this cutter failed miserably when trying to cut a 12 inch VCT in half. The piece on the right side of the blade cracked and was waste. I had to resort to a square and a straight edge to score and snap a piece of tile in half. Luckily I only had to score and snap 10 pieces in half but it slowed down production because the cutter broke the cut pieces.
cutter
Would Not RecommendThis worked ok for the first few cuts, after that not so well
