Low quality steel, not hardened much at all
Would Not RecommendI knew I was in trouble when I opened the package and picked up the triangular file...and felt burrs on the tang. I had a sinking feeling when I grabbed one of my older files to smooth the burrs down, and it filed them off with three gentle swipes. These files claim to be "hardened steel" but they're not. What they are is great for leaving you stranded halfway through a project with a file that's so smooth it can't do anything. I've never had a problem with anything I've purchased from Lowe's...
