Gently use the mallet to avoid breaks and chips.
Would RecommendBe careful: The laminate pieces have grooves which may break, and the edges may chip. After the mallet strikes the pieces, but without a firm fit, then stop and swap pieces. Suggestion: The metal tapping device should have wider extensions to accommodate the mallet, which chips, too. The spacers were useless. I made my own.
