Salvage your old extension cords!
Would RecommendSalvaging a damaged extension cord. These work well, are sturdy and are easy enough to wire up. No reason to throw away extension cords, won't be as weather resistant as the original molded ends, but still serviceable.

Incredibly difficult to Wire up.
I bought this three-pronged female plug to replace one on a damaged outdoor extension cord. There was hardly any space inside the body to fit all three wires. After spending 25 minutes trying to reassemble it, I ended up cutting off half of the copper strands from each wire just to make it fit.
