Would RecommendI don't understand the negative reviews. Accidentally cutting yourself isn't the fault of the tool, and ALL trowels and scrapers will rust if you don't thoroughly dry and/or oil them before you put them away. I have used this several times now for spackle, and I wash it with hot water. I dry it thoroughly with a towel and it still looks like the day I bought it minus some scratches/wear and tear.

Would Not RecommendDO NOT waste your money on this thing, even if you think you will never need to use it again in the future. I bought this to skim coat my dry wall. I need to do 3 coats, so, skim coat the drywall, and wait for 24 hours for the mud to dry and then another coat. And of course I did not bother completely clean this knife and wipe it dry since I need to use it again for the next coat, but I did not make it wet either, just some moist mud were left on it. The second day, this stuff already get rust...

Would Not RecommendI purchased this putty knife from the wall paper removing set. It does a good job for what it is intended to do, but be ware that the back edge of the putty knife is very sharp. Using it to remove wall paper means using it with wet, slippery hands...and even being careful, my hand slipped and I cut my hand in three different places. Fortunately, a couple of bandaids is all I needed, but it could easily result in a trip to the emergency room for stitches. Just be careful. Also, the saying that y...
