Was strong enough for this purpose, but no so rigid that it couldn't be worked with. We used this with cut pieces of rubber hose to stake our trees and I would recommend it for this purpose.

Would Not RecommendThe wire is too rigid to twist easily by hand. I do like the diameter which makes the wire easy to hold. I cannot recommend this wire for picture holding. However, it is strong and I am sure there are many other uses for it.
