A huge thumbs up for easy assembly reliability

This switch uses screw terminals to attach your wires, as opposed the the flimsy prongs that simply puncture the insulation of the cheap switches. The puncture-type terminals make an extremely unreliable connection that cannot be detected until it overheats and burns off. This one is actually easier to assemble than the cheap ones, and the robust screws and 6 amp rating are your best guarantee of safety and reliability.

This rocker switch is heavy duty, adaptable to 16/2 18/2 lamp cords. The design is foolproof, and is also adaptable to replace existing inline switches. The leads are screwed into place, so you don't have to fool with other inline designs where you must carefully position and hope contact is made when you squeeze the two halves together to pierce the hot wire. The body of the switch is sturdier and larger than traditional dial type inline switches.

didn’t need to measure out or adjust any wire. just separated the hot & neutral from the light cord. cut & stripped both ends of hot side. wired under screws. neutral fit perfectly in separate channel provided.

GREAT BUY!

This is a very hard to find item. A few places have a similar item, but not the 6 amp size like this is. I bought 2 and came back for the third switch. My wife needed this to turn off her heating pad so she did not have to bend and unplug the unit. Very happy with this product.
