I've been buying these a lot.... unfortunately the last few bags mostly contained light colored shredded instead of black. Didn't think it was worth the gas to return but should get a discount on more bags !

Purchased from Lowe’s and product was different.

I purchased 25 bags of this mulch and was thoroughly disappointed. I buy it every year and love it, except this year it was not brown/black it was cedar colored. It also had chunks of wood in it which has never happened before. I will definitely put a small hole in the bag to see what it looks like before purchasing again.

Good quality mulch

Finely shredded, good natural color hardwood mulch. Best quality bagged mulch I've found.

Inconsistent color

I wanted black mulch. 7/15 bags were light brown, all with the same exact bag and labels. Inconsistent coloring and false advertising. Now my garden is calico.

Brown Black Forest Mulch

I have used this product for the past 5 years. It has always been black. This year it a dark brown, not black. I don't want to change my color scheme in my garden. So I am no longer going to use this product.

Excellent Quality Mulch That Looks Better and Last

I decided to spend a little extra on ProLine Black Forest Mulch, and I'm glad I did. The triple-shredded texture gives it a much more uniform and finished appearance than many of the cheaper mulch brands. It spreads easily, stays in place better, and doesn't contain the large wood chunks that often end up scattered in the lawn. Great mulch

I have used this mulch for years and love it. It breaks down nice by the end of the year so I don't need to pull it out because its faded or has big chunks in it like the dyed mulch.

Mulch

This seems to be the most popular mulch in our area. Lowes is always running out. Grab several bags while it was in stock and we'll use it around the flower beds and other locations. Seems to work great for the season and then breaks down over the fall and winter to become part of the soil.
