Would RecommendEasy Installation. Be sure to purchase a 4x4 wooden post to cement in the ground first. Use QuickCrete (red bag) and mix concrete with water in the hole in the ground to save steps. Concrete was quick drying and dried in 50 minutes. The mailbox then slips over this wood post. We added additional screws on the side to secure mailbox to wooden 4x4 post. Would RecommendThis product is great looking and incredibly easy to assemble - took maybe 5 minutes using only a phillips screwdriver. Attached it to an existing wooden mailbox post - just cut the wood post to the height as described in the instructions (leaving about 50 inches or so of the wood post above ground). This mailbox is also quite a bit larger than my old steel mailbox that was rusting and falling apart. I now have the best looking mailbox on the street - already gotten a couple of compliments fr...
