What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the cedar mailbox post for its attractive appearance, durability, and natural weather resistance. Many highlight its rich color, aromatic scent, and curb appeal, with reviewers noting it feels sturdy and well-built. The cedar's insect resistance and rot durability are frequently valued, especially when sealed or stained. However, many note the post falls short of USPS installation standards, requiring extension or modification. A few mention inconsistent workmanship like splinters or rough surfaces, though most resolve these with basic sanding. Overall, reviewers consider it a worthwhile choice despite dimensional limitations.
Customer review summary generated by AI, including incentivized reviews. The post is durable and rot resistant and weather resistant. It is straight and stable, along with the alignment. The cut was a lot rougher than I expected and required a bunch of sanding.

Mailbox Post
Would RecommendMy old mailbox post needed replacement so I went and got this one. I was going to just get what was cheapest but the selection was poor. With the price of wood being so high I didn’t want to spend so much. I love cedar and it smells great! Naturally rot resistant without the chemicals. It looks great and was easy to install since I decided to not pull up the 4x4 post holder that was used for my old mailbox set up.

Poorly assembled and has flaws in the wood
Would Not RecommendThe price was okay and I wanted redwood rather than pressure treated for a mailbox post but this was the best one of the five they had in stock. It had knot with deterioration around it on the top most beveled portion as well as a 2 ft long gash on one side ranging from 1/8 in to 1/2 in width that had rotten deterioration. I was able to scrape all that stuff out and fill with plastic wood to prevent additional deterioration from the weather. Most significant was the fact that the pieces were nai...

Terrible quality product
Would Not RecommendWe picked the least crappy post from the inventory at our Lowe’s. Even still, we got home and discovered gaps and cracks all over various sides of the post. Can’t return because we have sanded and tried to use paint gap filler, but we will be cutting our losses and ordering a higher quality one.
Low Quality Production
Would Not RecommendHonestly, I was hoping this would be of higher quality. It consists of mishaped pieces that are not uniform (random cuts of extra wood used to make the post), horrible cuts that have the wood chipped and fraying, and, generally, does not look well put together. It has the appearance of a slapstick production.

pickup was the problem
Did the curbside pick up. I think the employees picke the most warped post possible. Post is probably fine but i would not have it selected by someone i do not know.

Strong, right-size & attractive
Looks great especially after applying a clear deck sealer. Did require a mounting board to accept the mail box. Perfect size for mounting in the ground & providing proper height for the mail box.

Put together with just a couple nails. Needs screw
Would RecommendNice product but needs to have screws added to be stronger. They only put a couple nails in to fasten it together. Over time this will loosen up. I added screws to the T joint and the brace to secure it.
