Would RecommendI considered so many options including a standard cedar post and painting it white. But this pvc material should weather better, and looks really nice. The mailbox brackets aligned just right and slipping the whole sleeve post over a secured 4x4 post worked out well. The caps look good. Overall, really pleased.

Sturdy post, nice clean lines and a classic look. Lowe's failed me once again, however. Needed additional item to install the post is a pressure-treated post, 4x4. Lowe's only has pressure-treated posts that are 4x8. They do not have the ability to cut that down to meet the required size for an item that they stock.

Doesn't hold up to snow thrown from snowplow.
Would Not RecommendDoesn't hold up to snow thrown from snow plow. We had 2 inches of snow and the plastic came off where the mailbox mounts. There was no contact from the plow. Second time replacing for this issue.
