Ratings & Reviews for Philips Hue Starter Kit Matter Certified 75 -Watt EQ A19 Multicolor Medium screw base E26 Dimmable Smart LED General purpose Light Bulb 4 -Pack

Phillips Hue with Hub are the best Smart bulbs.

Phillips Hue works great. We’ve tried other brands but none worked as well as these.

Great way to add smart lighting to your home!

Adding smart lights your your home is a great way to add personalization and convenience to your life. This Philips Hue Starter Kit Matter that comes with 4 smart bulb has everything you need to get started. It comes well packaged safely securing the bridge and the bulbs. One of my favorite features of this product and a must for me is for it to be matter compatible which allows you to control the lights from the smart home eco system of your choice. For me I like to be able to control my smart ...

Love these lights

I love these lights. The instructions are a little confusing but once done the bulbs have so many great features. You are able to control it using your phone via the app, but i have it connected to Alexa so all I have to do is ask her to turn them on/off and what color I want them. You can choose practically any color and they even have pre-programmed mood lighting such as Sunset. The kit comes with 4 lights and a bridge. Highly recommended.

Smart lighting you’ll enjoy!

The Philips Hues Matter Starters kit is a great way to light up your family room, dining room for playing games, eating dinner, bed room for special lighting to wake up and go to sleep. I installed these in our dining room. It made an astonishing difference immediately! I should have taken a before and after picture. You can download the app on your phone. And turn your lights on and off by the phone app. You can change the color of the lights. These smart bulbs are pretty cool and I ha...

Transform your space from functional to funky!

I love this Phillips Hue Bridge and Bulb kit! Via the Hue app, you can chose from a wide selection of "scenes" to style your space. You can even add bulbs to this kit to expand your "scene" We selected 10 scenes, but you can choose more. You can use this kit with medium bulb base sized fixtures. The Hue bulbs are: not intended for use in fully enclosed fixtures, not to be directly exposed to water, and operated in temperatures between -4°F to 113°F. My 2 favorite scenes are the bold Tokyo an...

Great product, easy to use

The Hue Starter Kit makes it quick and easy to get started with smart lighting in your home. Just download the app and follow the instructions carefully after setting up the hub connected to your router. The performance and feature set is top notch. On the downside, I wish the bulbs had Matter support so a hub would not be required.

Nice light kit!

I like this light kit seeing as though you can dim or change the light color. This comes in handy especially with someone like me who doesn't really like bright lights! I have put the lights in my bedroom which is the perfect place because it saves me from having to get up and turn the lights on and off. I really like these lights and kit!

Nice Lighting Setup

This is a nice lighting system. It comes with 4 bulbs and a control box that must be hooked up to the home wifi. The fact that it is wifi dependent is the only drawback. Each bulb can be individually controlled. You must download the app to control the lights. There are several preset lighting scenerios in the app or you can program and save your own.

Modern lights

Fantastic starter pack. Who would have thought we’d ever be able to control light bulbs the an app. Super nice to be able to control these lights with Alexa. Color changing and you can change the hue of regular light. You can sync the lights to music and movies, use them as an “alarm” to wake you up, set timers etc. unlimited possibilities. Very easy to use and get set up.

Very cool - so many customizations

These light bulbs are just cool. Up front, it's a high barrier to entry ($220 at the time of this writing), but it's mostly the initial setup with the bridge, and then the individual bulbs aren't bad, considering they'll probably last a very long time. Where do I start? What I love, is that you can program them in the app to do almost anything you want - schedules, routines, themes, group behavior, individual bulb behavior in the same fixture, strobe to music (haven't tried that one yet, but s...

Lights

Lights work great. Can operate for my phone without having to get up. Can you use different colors for different settings are activities. Would recommend.

Easy to use and makes you feel super cool

What a great way to light up your family room and lower level. We installed this in our lower level and all you have to do is plug in the little controller. Then you just link the router to the light bulbs. The little device you plug in allows the lights to speak to the app. You can change the colors etc. You can sign the lights in and assign them to multiple groups depending on what you want to turn on. Then they can be turned on and off by times or set schedules or by just going in the ...

Fun light set

I don't think I've untapped the full potential of this automated light set yet. I have used a bulb in a couple of lamps, and I am able to set up different automations of color and brightness at different times of day. The app controls the light however, you can turn on the light through the switch if needed. I don't have the ability to sync it with my TV, as this only works with certain models.

Endless options with this light kit!

Pretty neat product with a lot of applications. I have been working on networking our house and creating a "home theatre" in the basement. Still in the beginning stages but this is definitely the solution I need for the lighting! The Hue Bridge needs to live with wherever your internet home base is, it comes with the power cord you need as well as a Cat6 cable to connect the Bridge directly to your router or patch panel. This allows you to link it directly to the app on your phone, as well as ut...

Fail

So this was a fail for me. I have other smart bulbs that function without an external device. This requires hubsync and it was impossible to use. Despite repeated attempts, it failed to register or recognize and I could not move forward with the process. This is way too expensive a product to have simple setup issues that can’t be circumvented.

Phillips Hue light starter set modern upgrade

Phillips Hue light starter kit was easy to setup and integrated well with our WiFi system. We setup and adjuster lights to the right color and intensity to transform our family room into a relaxing environment

AWESOME Lightbulbs!

These smart lightbulbs are so neat and easy to install and use! They have multiple settings to choose from and the app is very user friendly. I love all the colors and options (like candle flicker, glitter, sunset view) and you can even sync with your Google Home and other devices. I will definitely be purchasing more of these in the future and recommend 100%!

A good product - just not for me

This review is for the Phillips HUE Value Pack (Starter Kit). I have to say it is not for me or my home setup. I think it is a fine product just not for me. On the good side: It comes with a Hue Bridge (puck), a power cord, a router connector, and four light bulbs. You must use the provided QR Code or go to the support website to get setup directions for your specific product. The directions on the website are excellent. It is very easy to set the kit up and set the links to each of the p...

The only lightbulb we ever use now.

This is genuinely the only lightbulb we ever use anymore! We love the fact that they can be controlled by our smart home devices, and the color-changing capability is a real treat. I especially like manipulating the color of the light in our bedroom at sunset when we're winding down and don't want the light color to be so energizing. You can choose a more mellow orange glow to help make the room feel more inviting and calming. I also installed them in my art studio over a reading corner and it h...
