What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this dimmer switch for convenient, phone-free lighting control and seamless integration with smart home systems. Most highlight effortless setup, reliable scene-switching, and long battery life lasting 2-3 years. The tactile design and large buttons earn consistent approval. However, many note frustration that the non-standard size prevents mounting in standard wall plates, requiring workarounds. Some mention software limitations restricting scene customization and button functions. A few report defective units or battery issues. Despite these drawbacks, most customers consider it a worthwhile upgrade for smart lighting convenience.

Perfect accessory for Hue lighting. Easy to setup and just needs a battery every 2-3 years to operate my 10 lights. I prefer the tactile touch for turning on my lights over using the app on my iPhone.

Great addition to Philips Hue lighting system.
We love the Philips Hue Switch because it is so customizable.

Make it smaller
Works great, however, it would be nice if it fit within a standard decora switch plate like a Lutron Caseta pico switch does.

Not Happy Keeps Loosing Connection to Everything
It took a while to set up and then it worked however every time we revisited using it it lost connection and the only way for us to use it was to remove the battery and put it back in to reboot it. Not happy.

Great for people who don’t have the app handy
Would RecommendThe dimmer works well but I didn’t realize it is essentially just a remote for the wall.

Plays well with other Philips Hue items.
This was easy to set up with the rest of our Philips Hue lights.

Convenient Little Remote
Works well with any dimmable hue lights. Buttons are nice and large, but the overall design seems to be flimsy and you will run the risk of dropping it especially when you try to pull it off and/or put it back on to the magnetic placeholder wall mount.

The one that works is great!
I bought two Philips Hue Dimmer Switches. One of them worked perfectly, but the second one didn't work at all (tried resetting it, etc.). I had to return the defective one. The one that works is great! Controls my lights without a hub, easy installation, nice design. 5/5. Might buy another one in the future to replace the defective one.

Amazing functionality
I have 4 of these in my house. Two are older model and I would say are for only one reason better. Casing was magnetic on the older model vs non-magnetic on the new model. I use them in Hubitat environment and it is just amazing what you can do with only 4 buttons. Design is not changed a lot, off button is replaced with Hue button. Nifty little thing. If you are doing zigbee automation, this is the must.
