What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the aluminum screen material for its durability, toughness, and ease of use in repair projects. Many highlight its superiority over fiberglass, noting it resists pet scratches and heavy wear while remaining simple to cut and install. Reviewers appreciate the charcoal color's clean appearance and report using it for windows, doors, and porch screens. Several purchased multiple rolls for future repairs. However, some customers report receiving defective rolls with damaged sections or uneven lengths, and a few found the material too flimsy for larger panels or felt the 40-foot length insufficient. Despite these concerns, most consider it a reliable, versatile repair solution.

Would RecommendI had twelve screens to repair at my apartment. They get filled with pollen this time of year quickly so I purchased the aluminum screen vs the cheaper screen. They hold up to washing perfectly.

Great product wrong store
Would RecommendOrdered online with in store pickup.... Yes the store had 4. All were smashed when I explained that I couldn't put a wrinkle mess of an aluminum screen on my house they said they couldn't order a replacement. Used lowes website to check other stores....the 13 at another store 40 minutes away, which turned out to be 2 that were bent up as well. Unfortunate that the product is good the service is not.

Measurements and color off
Would RecommendThe LENGTH varied on both the 48" wide screen and the 36" wide screen. We re-screened 10 screens and for several screens it was difficult to tug at the screen to have enough to get the spline in. Also, we bought the same color for all 10 screens but one of the packages looked gray. However, we were too frustrated to change it out and used it anyway.

Screen for all projects.
Would RecommendGreat screen material. Will have plenty on hand. This was a little too much for me as my project was very small. I used a small part for a small screen door foe a doll house I am working on. I for some reason I need to fix a screen on my house I will have it ready. Price was right. Quality was good as well.

Never Buy This!
Would Not RecommendIf you spent 5 cents on this screen...you would be spending to much! It is the worst! No matter how carefull you are, it will still rip when you are trying to apply the spline. Don't waste your money...spend the extra money to get a decent screen!!! I bought this one because I thought it would be stronger...NOT!!! And what the person said before me...ruins your roller and tares the heck outta your skin and hands!
48 In x 84 In Charcoal Aluminum Screen Wire
Would Not RecommendThis is more personal bias than technical knowledge, but I recently redid all the window screens in my house and could not complete ONE window before the wire window screening had me fed up. It chewed up the wheel on my spline tool, did a number on my hands (should have worn gloves), and it would bend and ripple with the slightest of pressure and you couldn't reflatten it adequately afterward. So unless you got it exactly right the first time, you were going to have to start fresh with a new pie...

excellent replacement screen
Would RecommendNeeded something tougher than nylon screening to deter scratching kitty. This aluminum screen fit the bill. It is easy to work with. Love the store pick-up service; it really saves time.
