What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the aluminum screen mesh for exceptional durability and ease of installation. Most highlight its strength against pets, rodents, and weather compared to fiberglass alternatives, noting it cuts easily and works well for varied DIY projects. Many appreciate its compatibility with standard spline tools and tacks. However, some report inconsistent quality, including rolls with less usable material than advertised and manufacturing defects requiring waste. A few mention color discrepancies or unexpected stiffness. Despite these concerns, most customers find it reliable and worthwhile for heavy-duty applications.

From 3-ft x 7-ft Silver Aluminum Replacement screen Verified Purchaser
perfect for my need
needed it for a certain purpose and it worked
Damaged badly during shipping
Would Not RecommendThe box is extremely flimsy and was totally mangled by FedEx. Rolled up screen inside the box had been bent and twisted because there was zero packing and the box was to long. That makes black coated aluminum screen totally unusable because all the bumps and dents show no matter how hard it is stretched. Taking back for a refund! C'mon Lowes!
The aluminum screen was just what I wanted
Would RecommendThe aluminum screen came in earlier than expected for a great price and the packaging had perfectly protected the screen from any bends, creases or damages. Kudos to Lowe’s for getting this order exactly right and perfectly delivered. Thank you.
Screen
It's screen....works like screen.
Weak, low-quality screen
Would Not RecommendThe screen was very thin, weak and soft. You have to handle it Very carefully or you'll crease it or put a hole in it. The rolls i ordered already had slight creases in them, and you can't pull the screen tight when you install it or it will rip along the edges. You could punch a hole in it with your thumb. Very disappointed.
Alum Screen
Would RecommendToo fragile and subject to damage.
Do not rely on the Local Store Inventory
I had to purchase a roll larger than the roll the Zebulon Road indicated they had several of in stock. It was bent on the edges, but fortunately, it was the edge that I had to cut off to make it work. I had a gift card, so I used it for this larger roll. No big problem. The screen was of good quality despite the wrong size. This Lowes should update their inventory regularly. I had the same problem in the door trim department and washer, too, on the same day.
