Pleased with results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Kentucky 31 Tall Fescue primarily on bare spots in our back yard. We struggle to grow grass there due, in part, to the many tree roots present. It germinated relatively quickly and I was pleased with the color and thickness. While it did not grow in all spots, I believe additional seedlings will produce the results that I desire. Overall, I'm very pleased with this product.

Go-to grass seed for Kentucky lawns!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pennington Kentucky 31 Tall Fescue Grass Seed has been a great choice for my lawn here in central Kentucky. The seed covers a good area, and the grass has a nice coarse texture. Once it starts growing, it's impressive how well it holds up against drought and helps prevent erosion. In my opinion, the instructions for planting were clear and easy to follow, making the entire process straightforward.

Even my tough yard grew well with this seed.

It took a while to grow with the heat of the summer, but watering it regularly insured that the bare patches grew in. It's even more lush than the rest of my yard so I will definitely be adding this in every year before dry humid summer ruins my yard again.

Good seed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked this seed. Most of it germinated and while it is still young grass, my yard looks better. It was nice and green when it came up. There were some weeds mixed in but I was able to quickly pull them to make sure they didn't spread. This isn't the first bag of seed that I have used that has some other stuff mixed in so I was not shocked.

Seed review

Some of the seed was quick to germinate and grow while other seeds are not yet visible as grass due to proximity of time between using product and request for review. The grass that did appear was thin looking. It does not look strong enough to make it to next year. For a quick grass solution and potential for more this is a decent option.

Honestly it didn't grow hardly at all, BUT I think that's because of the way the water runs when it drains which is why we probably have bald spots, BUT I did add grass seed to toilet paper and IT WORKED wonderfully!!! Kentucky 31 Tall Fescue is the best!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I grew up with farmers and Kentucky 31 tall fescue was the most versatile, fast growing fescue around. It is especially good for yards and fields that have a lot of open fields around. We used the Pennington Kentucky 31 to fill in some bare spots in our back yard. Within a few days, we already had a great stand of grass. It is great seed!

Decent Lawn Seed

Grew under very difficult conditions....

Still I had a few spots in my yard that needed grass or I would be facing an erosion situation, it couldn't wait until fall. This seed performed fantastically and helped me make sure my lawn looked healthy and kept.

I don't recommend this product and here is why

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bzzagent kindly gave me this grass seed for free so that I could review it. I used it according to instructions. The immediate thing I did not like was that the seed was coated in a green powder. I applied mine by hand because my yard is small. It stained my hands. I got very little result and kept watering with sprinkler. I will say, it was the hottest part of the summer, and the ground was already very dry which I don't think helped the grass...

Good seeds, poor packaging

It grows well and stands up to dry hot summers and hard clay soil. It goes dormant and returns I the spring and thrives and reseeds itself. The Pennington package was difficult to use. After cutting across the top with scissors, the bag tore down the side. I had to put it into a large ziplock bag to keep the seeds from spilling out. Be careful when ...

Starting to sprout
