What Customers Are Saying
The Pennington Grass Seed appears to have mixed results. Many customers reported the seed germinated quickly and produced thick, lush, and healthy-looking lawns, even in challenging conditions. However, a significant number of customers also experienced poor results, with little to no grass growth despite following instructions. Some issues included slow and stunted growth, as well as the seed being overrun by weeds. The product's quality and consistency also seemed inconsistent across different batches. Overall, the results appear to be somewhat mixed, with the product working well for some but not for others, likely due to factors like climate and soil conditions.

Grass didn’t really grow
Would Not RecommendGrass didn’t really grow. I followed the instructions exactly. The area I was trying to grow seed had the watering on a timer with a soil moisture monitor. Ended up using black beauty for my lawn and it grew.

Beautiful Grass in a Week
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this seed in my back yard. Last summer burnt my grass up pretty bad. I filled in all areas with top soil and spread the seed, following directions on bag. I then threw a light layer of top soil and peat moss down. Watered 3 times a day. The grass came in quick with beautiful dark green color.

Great product for shady patches
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are several bare spots in our yard, and every year we tackle as much as we can in the fall, but some spots are harder to grow grass than others. This product was applied April 27th to this area under a large bush in our yard. This is our two dogs favorite "spot" so it takes a beating from them doing their business. As you can see in just a little over 3 weeks, and some much needed rain, much of this area has been filled in. We try a varie...

It works
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a lot of dirt patches in our yard. Mostly after filling in the holes our dogs dug and also the lack of sunlight in areas of our back yard. We put some of this seed down and now we have nice, think grass. You can even seen the "bald" spots anymore!
