Blade keeps falling off
Would Not RecommendIt appears that the design angle of the blade barely catches the drive gear. Further, which may be the real problem, the tension on the blade keeps loosening allowing the chain to have way too much slack. Then it jumps the guide slot on the bar! To keep it tight, you must check the tension possibly after every cut!!!! Scary!!! Otherwise it is a great saw!
Two Years and Still Cutting
Would RecommendI've used this for two years and it's still cutting like a champ. I no longer prime it per manual as it's a giant pain in the butt. I use it with a Honda 2000 generator and have never had any issues. I've never thrown the chain, either. Yesterday I spent six hours bucking several fallen trees, the biggest about 16 inches. this thing was simple to assemble and operate i like the oil view window really like the outside chain tightener and the on board sharpener is great. i cut through some pretty big pieces of wood with it no problem. not as powerful as a gas chainsaw but good enough without the headache of a gas chainsaw!

Fantastic for occasional use
Would RecommendI got this chainsaw when they were selling it under the Kobalt brand and it has performed very well. It has enough power to drive the bar through a thick tree. An 18 inches is a lot of tree. And I love the convenient features: tool-free tightening and self sharpening. It is always sharp. Glad they still sell it. I bought three chains on sale when they were discontinuing the Kobalt model.

Would RecommendI have a 20 inch 46 cc chainsaw and this 18 inch electric chainsaw has SO MUCH more power and ease of use cutting down a big 35 inch Oak tree. Absolutely love this chainsaw. Not sure about battery operated chainsaws, but this pug in has 15 amps and 120V and is an absolute beast.
