Didn’t work well for me

I bought this electric chainsaw and assembled according to instructions. I checked that the oiler was working and that the chain direction and tension was good. I started to cut a fallen tree and it was cutting fine - then it quit cutting. The blade was turning but it wasn’t cutting into the wood very much without putting extreme force. Since it was a hickory tree, I thought maybe it was too hard for this little electric chain saw. So I tried it on some soft wood and it still wasn’t cutting...

Not needing to work on the farm chainsaw, around the house within reach of an outlet. Only issue is it is very sensitive to chain tension and will pitch a chain quickly.

Chain did not spin more than 30 seconds

I love this thing. Powerful, gets down the smallish trees I want out of my yard, pieces firewood, clears fallen timbers after storms. Also goes well with maniacal laughter and white goalie masks.

We have had this chainsaw for a week and have cut down 3 trees with ease. What my husbadn really like is the chain stops quickly after releasing the trigger.

Easy to unbox, tighten blade, and fill with chain lube. Plug in and go. Saw is comparable in feel and power to gas powered saw. Appears to cut well, haven’t tried sharpening feature yet.

Blade keeps falling off

It appears that the design angle of the blade barely catches the drive gear. Further, which may be the real problem, the tension on the blade keeps loosening allowing the chain to have way too much slack. Then it jumps the guide slot on the bar! To keep it tight, you must check the tension possibly after every cut!!!! Scary!!! Otherwise it is a great saw!

Two Years and Still Cutting

I've used this for two years and it's still cutting like a champ. I no longer prime it per manual as it's a giant pain in the butt. I use it with a Honda 2000 generator and have never had any issues. I've never thrown the chain, either. Yesterday I spent six hours bucking several fallen trees, the biggest about 16 inches. Keep the blade sharp and it cuts like butter. pleasently surprised

this thing was simple to assemble and operate i like the oil view window really like the outside chain tightener and the on board sharpener is great. i cut through some pretty big pieces of wood with it no problem. not as powerful as a gas chainsaw but good enough without the headache of a gas chainsaw!

Fantastic for occasional use

I got this chainsaw when they were selling it under the Kobalt brand and it has performed very well. It has enough power to drive the bar through a thick tree. An 18 inches is a lot of tree. And I love the convenient features: tool-free tightening and self sharpening. It is always sharp. Glad they still sell it. I bought three chains on sale when they were discontinuing the Kobalt model.

MUCH better than gas.

I have a 20 inch 46 cc chainsaw and this 18 inch electric chainsaw has SO MUCH more power and ease of use cutting down a big 35 inch Oak tree. Absolutely love this chainsaw. Not sure about battery operated chainsaws, but this pug in has 15 amps and 120V and is an absolute beast.
