Ratings & Reviews for Moen EX Series 34 Horsepower Garbage Disposal with Fast Installation Features

good price

Bought this recently and shopped a variety of disposals but salesman recommended Moen over other brands for reliability.

Good features and easy install

The main reason for this purchase was the Moen name. Like all Moen products a very good purchase.

Garbage disposal

Great disposal and awesome warranty! Love the space saving as well.

LouderThan I Expected

Installed unit, turned "on" louder than I expected, works well, no vibration

Could not be more easy to install than this.

Did kitchen remodeling and wanted to upgrade disposal. This is the perfect choice. More power and less noise. Installed in record time. So well thought out. Excellent.

Garbage disposal is loud

I had this installed a few weeks ago, but it’s quite loud when turned on. Other than that it does the job.

Great warranty, good price. too loud.

My prior disposal was an IS Evoulation. I took the rubber screen from that one and out it on the Moen Host. Immediate reduction in noise. Wife happier.

Long warranty and horsepower size.

We bought it about a week ago and it was not too difficult to install. Work great!

works good

I bought one on 9 August 2022 and later found out it was leaking at a seam on the unit. Moen was notified and promptly sent me a new one, which I just installed on 30 August 2022. I appreciate Moen quick response and no fuss replacement process.

Good replacement

No issues so far. Only had it for a few days. Installation was straight forward. Our old one was close to 20 years old I think. New one is significantly lighter and quieter.

Best compared to similar products on the shelf.

Follow instructions for easy installation. My wife and I had little problem; we are 83/84 but flexible, getting under the sink was the hardest part.

Great Features, easy to install,

Excellent value and quieter than the one I replaced(another brand).

30 years old garbage disposal replacement

Finally decided to replace the 30yrs old (original) garbage disposal. Installation was very straight forward, except for the snap ring installation tool. The plastic installation tool was too filmsy to last a couple of attempts - would be better if it was made out of metal alloys. Fitment was similar to Insinkerator as advertised. Great warranty! Motor noise was higher than expected for 2 bars but not offensive since it is a 3/4 HP motor.

Excellent quality

I brought this yesterday so far so good very easy Instalation.

Professional installation

Too old to do it myself. Plumber installed very easy

Grinds well but noisy

We replaced our 8 year old 1 1/4 hp disposer with the 3/4 hp EX 75C. It grinds well but it is rather noisy despite the " sound shield" insulation and noisier than the one we replaced which had higher horse power. Also, the splash guard does not leave much room for water to enter from the faucet and run through as there is a small hole in the center and smaller holes around the periphery. Nice to prevent particles from splashing back but a problem for water to enter. I'll probably replace it or ...

Installed for 10 minutes - then removed

Installed by an experienced plumber. When first turned on my spouse who was upstairs in the house came down quickly to express her dissatisfaction with the noise level. comment by the plumber was, "This is one of the loudest disposals I have ever heard." He removed and I returned it to purchase location and replaced it with a unit the plumber recommended. It had a more than acceptable noise level. As an additional observation the replacement unit of about the same size was significantly hea...

So Far So Good

So far everything is doing good with our newly installed garbage disposal. I had a hard time finding the instructions to operate the disposal - eventually found on pages 16 and 17 of the installation instructions. I was also surprised to find that an unjamming wrench is not included with the disposal.

Stopped Working less than 2yrs

I was disappointed in this product. I can’t understand why it would stop working less than 2 yrs. Thank goodness I was under warranty. I contacted Moen’s customer service and I received a replacement 1 horse power garbage disposal within 3 days. I was impressed with how quickly it was replaced. I must have bought a lemon.

Attracted to warranty

Replacing an Insinkerator that is leaking due to rusting out. Unit has just surpassed the 3yr warranty. This Moen unit is constructed with corrosion resistant material and should last 3-4X life span of previous unit.
