Good protectant coating

I quite fond of this polyurethane. Makes good protective coating and is very smooth if you sand it well. Smells like ora gic solvents and requires organic solvents (paint thinner is my go to) to clean up. I have yet to successfully clean a brush after having used this.

The smell is super strong. Good ventilation needed

The finish is just what I was hoping for. Dries very quickly.

Disappointed in product

I am in the process of finishing cabinets, I have put 2 coats on them and am not happy at all. I am not getting the finish I am trying to achieve. Almost 2o years ago I used the same product or so I am being told from the store in which I purchased this product. I am using now the premium oil fast drying polyurethane warm semi gloss and before I used the fast-drying polyurethane superior durability clear semi- gloss. What I am trying to figure out has the product changed that much?

Great porduct

It's like watching candy being handmade. It's just so satisfying. We have been using Minwax for 25+ years and love their line of stains and polyurethanes. You can't go wrong.

Minwax is good

Minwax has always been a good product

Do not buy. Not like it used to be.

I bought 3 gallons of this in december. Opened one of the up and poured it in quart cans. Used a quarter of 1 can to put a first coat on some plywood shelves. Everything went as expected. Sanded them after 6 hours to put a second coat on. Opened the can again to get started and noticed the poly is quite a bit thicker than it was earlier. Like spreading molassis on my plywood. would not level out. Left brush marks in my wood. Do not buy this garbage.
