Ratings & Reviews for Minwax PolyShades Oil-based Honey Pine Semi-transparent Gloss Interior Stain ( 1-quart )

What Customers Are Saying

The product received mixed reviews. Many praised its convenience as an all-in-one stain and polyurethane solution that produces glossy finishes with minimal effort. Customers highlighted the ease of use, wide color options, and long-lasting durability. However, a significant number reported major issues with uneven, patchy, and brush-marked application, as well as strong odor, quick drying, and a rough or tacky final finish. The reviews suggest the product can work well for some projects but requires careful application technique, and a traditional two-step stain and polyurethane process may be preferable for larger or more complex projects.
