Ratings & Reviews for Maytag High Efficiency Impeller Extra Large ( 5.3-cu ft ) Top-Load Washer ( Classic Silver )

Complete Garbage

We have never even gotten close to the extra large capacity that this piece of trash claims to have. Four pairs of jeans and a beach towel is enough to throw this waste of space into a state of "unbalance" This has happened numerous times. 10/10 Would not recommend. Manufacturer should be ashamed.

Maytag always works good

I only had this for a few weeks But so far it works exceptionally well . The pet hair Option works good . It has a large tub and holds a lot of clothes. So far very happy with it

Great at pet hair removal

I purchased this washer a month ago. Outstanding at pet hair removal. Clothes have come out clean. Power button on washing machine is sometimes difficult to turn on.

Start button a little finicky but otherwise great dryer

nothing but issues

Would not recommend a maytag product. We had older models in the 1990's and they were fantastic sold them with our house over 20 years later and they were still running. Put new ones in our new home in 2014 after 6 years had to have one replaced because the seal took a dump. So I fixed it and bought new ones in 2020 and now the wash machine is making all kinds of growling sounds during the spin cycle, what a piece of ----! Waiting for it to take a dump so i can buy some quality machines, ...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I need a large compacity washer to hanlde large loads of clothes and also was my comforters. This washer has lived up to it name brand so far after a month.

So far, so good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced my large capacity LG washer after just 4 years. Multiple efforts couldn’t repair it. Selected Maytag for its reputation as high quality. The features were fine, more than I usually use, but there if I needed them. I’ve had it for a couple months and I’m happy with it.

Service

Excelente service thank you

Poor manufacturing

Had trouble with it right out of the box, waiting on part to fix now for over two weeks. Not happy with it at all. Maybe once it is repaired it will work properly and will be better. Not holding my breath.

Good washer

Great washer. Can wash large loads with no issues

Not what I had hoped

I bought a Maytag Washer and Dryer. It took three deliveries and me taking several day off work for Lowes to finally get this right. Starts with dented / damaged and scratched dryer to a second one being slightly dented. A Washer where the top load cover was misaligned and had to be replaced. Each delivery group got less helpful.

Great features

Works perfect. Pro Pet is a big help.

Pleased with Purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are pleased with the quality, ease of navigation, and options included with this unit. This should the case with a high end product.

Awesome washer

I bought this washer 3 weeks ago. It is a great washer.

Capacious and efficient

We've had this washer/dryer set for a month now and couldn't be happier. The washer is high capacity and very efficient, with much faster cycle turnaround than our previous machine. The action is slightly on the noisy side but that's only a minor quibble. I'm quite satisfied.
