Ratings & Reviews for Maytag Pet Pro High Efficiency Agitator Large ( 4.7-cu ft ) Top-Load Washer ( Volcano Black )

Good Service..

Not working

I am so disappointed in this washer. Was delivered 2 days ago and not working.

Low Quality Repetitive Problem

I am very disappointed with this washer and do not recommend it to others. In first fews months of purchase, we have already had two repairs for same lid lock issue. It is also shown online as a repetitive problem for others. In addition, this washer has water filling, hence cleaning, issues. Plus, it is already rusting. To get adequate water/cleanliness, Iʻve had to keep the dials in a specific positions. Very disappointed: Maytag should improve quality and I do not feel Loweʻs should offe...

Forget the Pet Hair function

This washer works fine. The large tub is very nice with our multi-generational family. The pet hair function is a huge RIP OFF. It does not collect pet hair. It collects a little bit of lint. Save your money and just buy the regular machine.

Loud

Great washer, however it is very loud. I love the pet feature.

Smart Features are not so smart

I bought this Maytag expecting a modern washer to make doing laundry easier. Instead, I’ve discovered a good example of how automation can actually make a simple appliance more tedious to use. For generations, a washing machine was simple - choose how much water you want, fill the tub, wash or soak your clothes, and drain the water when YOU are finished. This washer seems determined to make those decisions for you. I selected Deep Fill - Max, expecting the machine to fill before washing. Inste...

Spin cycle very sensitive

On the whole this washing machine works fine. However, when washing blankets the spin cycle becomes out of balance very easily and the machine just stops functioning. Unfortunately, when you stop the machine to readjust the weight the entire wash cycle starts all over again. The only way to avoid that is to set the dial to spin and rinse. Again the same problem arises - it continues to rinse and spin but stops again when the load becomes unbalanced. If I could just go to the spin only then I wou...

Agitator

I bought thus two weeks ago. We will see how it is in the future.

I hate this machine

After having this machine for a week’s time, it will not drain properly. It stops at drain and spin and will not finish the cycle.

Replaced old with new

Replaced our old Maytag Commercial washer with this one. Quieter, rinse cycle eliminates much more water before clothes going to the dryer, new pet hair feature actually works well.

The machine is a lot louder than the old machine but it works much better. Happy with my purchase.

Great features

I bought this a month ago and have been happy with my purchase. Cleans well and has plenty of space and isn’t loud.

Maytag/Whirlpool Extended Warranty and Parts Trap

Lowe's is GREAT. Whirlpool/Maytag are the worst. PetPro Washer purchased from Lowe's built in 2022 recently stopped working, Lowe's did great with the install and set-up. However, "LOW FLOW ERRORS" constantly just started on the Washer about a month ago. Youtube videos with hundred thousand or more views show the same faulty "Water Inlet Valve Assembly" with various models including the PetPro. I used PartsDR.com to determine that the Water Assembly Valve that Maytag used to build the Wash...

New still but so far liking it. Louder and slower than our old front load.

Great washing machine

The washing machine works excellent close come out very clean. It is really well-made. There are plenty of psychos all easy to use. I’ve never had a washing machine that worked quite so well and was so comprehensive. I am really glad that we bought it.

Sucks pet fur and lint like I’ve never seen!

I’ve had my PetPro about 3 weeks now and can’t believe how much cleaner laundry is but the amount of pet hair and lint pulls out. It amazes me.

Great so far, glad we purchased

Decided to go with this unit for the pet hair removal system, been fantastic and catching a lot of hair, filter easy to clean. We have 3 Aussies
