Keyed locks

These locks work great. Before you purchase your locks look or measure the hole it will be going thru. I found that one gate had a smaller lock hole and was therefore unable to use both. If it was the right size it would be awesome due to them being keyed the same.

Good locks, misleading packaging

Master Locks are great for securing job boxes, which use 2 locks. However, unless you know what to look for you could get the wrong size. Job Box makers recommend the No.5 Masterlock. I made the mistake of going by the 'rating' shown on the Masterlock package which indicated '5', but the correct designation is found on the bottom of the lock and should read 'No.5' , which is only found on locks with a 'rating' of '7'. Secure locks, extra keys easy

I trust this brand and I have been buying Master locks for years. This model is particularly handy because it is easy to get extra keys. Lowe's can make them at the hardware desk in a few minutes.

No Combinations to forget

Just the thing for a heavy duty lock with key. It works perfectly and I can have spare keys made so I don't have to worry about losing one. I'm not good with combinations. Too many passwords and stuff to remember and this eliminates another thing to remember.

Terrible if used outside

Do not use outdoors. They will rust rather quickly. I have had them on my gate for two weeks and already rusting. Not good.

Great buy and product.

Thia is a great padlock in that you have one key for both locks. This cuts down on having to carry extra keys for two locks.

Good keyed padlock easy to use

No problems using this padlock. Key worked fine the first time. I made additional keys for friends since it only came with two keys. The only improvement I would suggest is a plastic cover to prevent eventual rust if the lock is used outdoors. Yet I understand that would also increase the cost, so inclusion of this would increase the cost. Maybe it's just fine the way it is.
