Great grout for most uses

Great product that I use almost all the time. For the high end bathrooms, I do use spectralock 1, comes in at about twice the cost but it doesn’t have the sanded texture. Negative reviews really are poor installation. Just read the directions and work fast. This product is stain resistant, non porous so works very well for shower floors and walls. Bad Experience

Contracer used Mapei Flexcolor on a shower floor and told us to stay off for 72 hours. We waited an extra day and after use we realized the grout was mushy and soft. The contractor came back out and reapplied the grout and 7 days later its still soft in the corners and other areas

Excellent grout

This is the first time I have grouted tile. I painstakingly removed 10 year old Quartzlock grout from my 2" x 2" tile shower floor and then applied the new grout. Flexcolor was very easy to use. It filled in all of the joints very easily. Clean up was a breeze. The color matched the sample. I read many reviews online before purchasing and I am not sure what the negative reviews were based on. I highly recommend it.

Very easy to work with. My floor tuned out great! Grout dries very quickly in hot dry weather, so need to be quick to wash the excess.

Doesn’t stay clean and doesn’t clean easy

I am a professional tile installer, so I work with a lot of grout. It’s very convenient to just pull grout out of the container and just start spreading it, so I gave it a try on my own house. If you don’t seal this grout, you’ll have some hard times keeping it clean. There are similar products by other manufacturers and I would recommend trying them. This grout just sucks up dirt

Easy to apply. Flows great and super easy to clean - two washes. No buffing needed. Did not develop a haze at all on the tiles.

Do not use this grout!!

I used this grout on my new marble shower because it claimed it didn’t need sealing, was easy to clean and resisted mildew and mold far better than other grouts. That is a lie! It is a literal nightmare trying to clean it and keep even close to white. It molds and mildews far worse and quicker than any other grout I’ve used, even much, much cheaper grout. My shower is not even four years old and I am to the point of hiring someone to rip it out and rebuild it, that’s how much I hate this grout. ...

I used this grout with matte finish porcelain tiles. I did have some grout haze, even though I did the second wash mentioned in the Mapei instructions. I waited three days for the grout to fully set up, then scrubbed the haze off the tiles with a nylon scrubby without too much effort. The color is true to the Mapei sample color sheets, and matches well with the Mapesil T Plus caulk. I've only had the tiles grouted for a week, so I can't speak to how well it will last, but so far I'm very please...
