Works as it should

Used a lot of different Mapei products. This thinset seems to work well with good adhesion. It seems that this is the only thinset that is modified that Lowes carries. We're using it with a decoupling layer (red guard) which will hopefully prevent any tile cracking if the subfloor (concrete) shifts or in case of a any ground movement (earthquakes). Red Guard recommends a modified thinset so we went with this one.

If you follow the directions on the bag it mixes up easy and smooth, I’m not a pro so I mix 1/4 bag with 1.75 quarts of cool water which works out perfect as far as my installation time and will do eight 12 x 24 tiles
