What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this screen repair tool for its durable metal and wood construction, describing it as a lifetime investment compared to flimsy plastic alternatives. Most users highlight how easy and intuitive it is to use, with smooth spline installation and excellent control. The comfortable grip and balanced weight allow consistent force application without slipping. A few note the roller can be slightly loose or the groove may not fit thicker spline sizes, though these issues are typically user-dependent. Overall, reviewers consider it far superior to any alternative they've tried.

Would RecommendUsed to rescreen screens on my house. Originally had plastic one to save money, but it tore screen when I accidentally slipped.

cut my screen
The concaved sided wheel cut the good side of my screen. The wheel is rather skinny and would roll to the side of the spline. Th wheel would then roll off and the edge cutting the screen. If you are going to buy a spline tool I recommend this over a plastic wheel tool. The plastic will wear down fast.
Sturdy and Easy to Use
Would RecommendThis product made rescreening my own window so much easier! Outdoor cats scratched a hole in my living room window screen and were squeezing their way in and out of my house during the night. I bought some pet screen and rubber trim was able to re-screen my windows in about 30 minutes. Now, they might try, but they haven’t been able to scratch any more holes in my screens.
Better than the plastic
Would Recommendmeasure each side independantly as even a new window may be off by only 3/16" the screen will not stay put. Yes this is the tool to insert the rubber gromett but it part of a package for re-screening.
Bang for the buck
Would RecommendAlways like tools that are made sturdier. this one is. the only minor compliant is: the spline wheel (with the grove), will fly away and cut the screen, you are not putting enough pressure. Trick i learned was to put pressure away from the screen towards the frame at an angle.
