Would RecommendI'm putting a solar screen on all my windows to help with the electric bill during this super hot summer. I haven't even gotten the first electric bill but I can tell it works because my only plant that usually sits by the window with blinds always down is now trying to die on me. The frame is super easy to cut with my dremel and put together with the corner pieces. I'm using the 0.125 spline with the solar screen and it seems just right. The only thing that I hate is that the stickers are on ...
The display in the store says to use .140 spline with sun screen. No way. The spline channel is too narrow and it's impossible to force it in. I tried .125 spline instead in it worked, but just barely. I had to use a lot of force to work the spline and screen into the narrow channel. Really tough.
Poor Quality
Would Not RecommendThese frames are too thin and weak to support any window larger than about 18 inches without requiring additional bracing, even if you don’t pull the screen very tight. I ended up throwing them out to find something better as the bowing of the frames was awful

Got junk
Would Not RecommendOlder versions with the cord not attached to screen were OK and were cut to the correct length as you add the corners to make them up to 48 " The new ones have the cord already attached in the groove , they are thinner and weak from older versions and are cut to 48 " already so when you add the corners it adds 1.5 inches to size , no screen will fit , you " MUST " cut , and try cutting a thin piece off , messes up every time ... just junk the new ones are !!

Thin!
Would Not RecommendThis may be a standard thickness, but it is very thin and very flimsy. Do not try to install heavier thickness screen, it will require crossbars and a lot of extra work. Do yourself a favor and source a heavier gauge frame.
