This product was easily acceptable at the store. I had help from the store employees to pull items and load items onto truck. Staff was more than helpful. Also, the items were in good condition and things were installed with no issues. This product lasted a long time and so I recommend it to any customer needing siding. Thanks for carrying this product. I look forward to getting more and hopefully I get this $500 bonus for this review so I can buy more stuff from Lowe’s.

Get exact amount

4 years ago, I sided a cottage with this product and bought a few extra boxes expecting to build a matching outbuilding. I built the outbuilding this year, but I was a few boxes short of the matching siding. And guess what? They don't make that color anymore. So, if you are choosing this product, measure very carefully and buy the exact amount you need, because they probably won't be making that color again.

Barn siding?

We have used SmartSide on our garage exterior with battons and love the look. Now we need to replace 2 sides of our very old barn and wondered about cutting the SmartSide sheet into strips along the grooves and installing them horizontally, like siding with some overlap and caulk between rows. Is that something that would work?

Need smooth in midwest region

We need 3" smooth lap available in the midwest. I understand it went away.

Easy to work with

It is relatively light and cuts easily.

Product is easy to install with ample instructions either in written form or video. My only concern is that I can see the primer through the paint. At first I thought it was sawdust because it was light brown in color which contrasts with Smoky Sable. I hope this doesn't affect the 15 year performance of the paint.

great product overall

I have been using this product on a project for several years. We use the smooth because it is more authentic. Cedar siding is smooth, not textured! We have two areas on a home we have been replacing cedar lap siding that has failed with LP smooth panels. We will now have to use actual cedar since you dropped the smooth product line.

Great Product

Better than hardie

Curb Appeal

They care about the forest and work hard to protect and conserve it. They replant trees in the millions each year. But bottom line this siding is tough and beautiful and will transform your home’s appearance.

Rigid Stack
