Would RecommendGood lighting for kitchen. LEDS will damage your eyes. These light bulbs are easier to adjust for your eyes going from room to room.

small mini light
This little light is small enough to carry in a front pocket...and seems rugged enough to weather a smaller drop. I haven't used in a wet environment so I can't speak to feasible in rain. Not too bright so batteries should last a while.

Handy little flashlights.
Handy little flashlights. Had to fiddle with one to get it to work reliably. Now not sure how trustworthy it is.
