One thing I’ve noticed, and it’s typical faith this azalea, is that the type of azalea gets mis-labeled. It’s not just at Lowe’s, but at any garden center. The nurseries the plants come from are experiencing where the flowers have become mixed and some are even becoming hybrids. It’s best to not rely on the plant labels...
