died after 4 years

Had repairman come today to fix dishwasher after it wouldn't start. He told me the motor was fried and it would be more expensive to repair than to replace. Totally disgusted with LG dishwasher that only lasted 4 years.

Love them

Worked great until warranty expired.

This dishwasher worked great for 1 year only. Then it stopped working all together. I was very disappointed.

Very disappointed

We have been committed LG appliance family, but we have been very disappointed with the Dishwashers. We have purchased 2 LG dishwashers in less then 10 years, both being replaced because of the same issue. We have replaced the second one which was only 2 years old with another brand.

Control panel flashing

Dishwasher was good for first 1.5 years then lights started flashing from water infiltration. several models currently have a class action lawsuit for this same problem so it's a known issue

rusting

washes and is awesome but the racks are rusting an causing my knives to rust now. I've only had it for 8 years and been rusting last 3 years. Now I need new baskets.

Dishwasher is unreliable

This dishwasher is a big disappointment. Right after it went out of warranty, it started exhibiting a 'bE' error about every two or three weeks. When I looked up this error, it has multiple meanings and can only be reset by turning the breaker off. The washer is level, the filter is regularly cleaned and I use detergent recommended by the manufacturer. It is used maybe five times a week. Very unhappy with this purchase. Not user friendly once installed

The dishwasher itself works fine but every time I need to change a setting I have to pull out the manual-- hold down two buttons for 3 seconds and then hold down another for two (as an example). Its ridiculous. And some of the settings make no sense (hold down two random buttons as the same time!). Make it easy for us please.

Horrible bottom rack configuration

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bottom racks are not arranged in a particularly useful manner. I appreciate the way the two in the back fold down, but there's a giant dead space in the very center of the bottom rack, which makes it next to impossible to fully load. It cleans well, but IDK why it doesn't have an additional folding rack for the middle. Basically, if all you load is plates, well, fine, but it's just not designed well for anything except plates. If buying, please inspect daily for rusting racks

05/2023 Purchase - Plastic lining on top rack failed in a hard to spot area in the back, causing metal frame underneath to rust and disintegrate, leading to chunks of rusted metal working their way into the system by Summer 2025, damaging other pumps/components. Will have to see if cost to repair exceeds replacement with new/different make/model.

Not worth it

This dishwasher worked great at the beginning, but less than 2 years after purchase, it no longer runs a complete cycle. Lots of beeping, flashing, and the dishwasher will just turn off. Sometimes this happens as early as 15 minutes into the cycle, or it can go almost to the end and turn off towards the end, but it never finishes a cycle anymore, even after trouble shooting with the LG help. The control panel is bad and a service call/parts/labor would cost more than what we originally paid for ...

Loud

I bought this washer in November of 2023. It was very quiet and ran great for about 14 months. After that it was really loud every time it was used.

Failing Control Board HORRIBLE customer Service

DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER and along those lines, I suggest not be buying LG products at all. The control board failed right at the end of the warranty. The technician who was sent out recommended replacing it, but LG insisted they replace the Control Board. Right along with what I feared, the Control Board failed in 9 months (tick tick, flashing numbers). The warranty for the control board is 2 years, so I was hoping an agent would understand, particularly since the DW already failed within...
