Product Works, but priced too high

The first one I installed went easily, but then I didn't think it was going to accept plug. With some pretty good force it finally went in. If I had it to do over, with Lowe's pricing this simple outlet at nearly 6 bucks, I'd shop somewhere else.

WELL BUILT, VERY STURDY LOOKS LIKE IT WILL LAST A LONG TIME UNDER HEAVY USE. DUE TO SAFETY PROVISIONS ON THEOUTLET IT IS VERYHARD TO INSERT A PLUG. GREAT IF YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN BECAUSE THEY CAN'T INSERT FOREIGN OBJECTS.

Good, Basic 20 Amp Outlet.

This is one of those items that you should not use and attempt to wire unless you know what you are doing. This is not a "replacement" plug to put in place of a regular outlet. There is a reason that the one conductor is turned sideways. It means that whatever device you need this type of plug for has special amperage needs (above 15A, but below 20A) and should be put on a dedicated circuit with the proper sized wire and breaker. 20-Amp Gray Duplex - works great

Standard 20A outlet. Wired it right up. Not a whole lot to say, but hey, it worked great.

Safety feature makes these VERY difficult to use!

We didn't realize these come with a safety mechanism to prevent insertion of anything other than a plug. We bought for the color. Replaced an entire kitchen and struggle every single time we need to plug something in! They require two prongs be inserted exactly at the same time. If you put a little pressure on one side or the other, the safety engages and it won't open to allow the plug to be inserted. Might be great for a child's room, but definitely not helpful in a room like the kitchen where...
