Indoor wall outlet USB charger

I bought this to replace a regular wall socket three prong. Installation was a breeze just like replacing a regular wall socket. Now I have the convenience on the end of my breakfast island, I have a place to charge up to four devices Smart phones iPads etc. Straightforward wiring nothing to worry about installing this yourself. Just make sure you turn off the breaker of course and test for power at the wires prior to doing the job. Good quality

High pitched sound!

I wired up two of these with the same issue. Some type of high pitched frequency created within the outlet was constantly heard. To the point that I removed them and replaced them with regular outlets.

No more searching for charging hubs.

With three people using phones and tablets, looking for a charger was a pain. We also don't have to ask is it a fast or slow charger once you find one. Because this is in our kitchen, all our devices are also left there, saving us from looking for the tablet.

Waste of money

plugged an ipad into this for 10 hours only charged it 80%, when its plugged into any other outlet about 1 hour for a full charge, thought it would be a great idea, but was a waste of $20

Very easy to install. Installed in kitchen and everyone in the family uses it daily. No longer looking for plug adapters

USB Outlet is a must for all homes. It centralizes charging and gets ride of bulky charging stations.

USB Not for iPad charging

The amps required to charge an iPhone are less than an iPad so if that's all you need it will work. I take exception to the deceptive picture of an iPad on the package which suggests (via the image) it can charge one. It cannot. It's junk like this that gives a bad rep to Lowes for not testing the product before wasting the time of customers because it's coming back - and so is the cost of my gas to deal with it - not happy.

Great product BUT read the entire thing. This leads you to believe it comes with the wall plate but a closer look shoes that is does NOT and must be purchased separately.

Pretty cool

Allowed us to turn one outlet into a four port usb charger. Seems to work well and looks neat and modern.

Disappointed

I was disappointed with the USB charging ports. It is advertised as 2.1 amps but it seems to be two 1 amp ports. It would not charge a Status weather reciever that requires 2.1 amps to charge.

outlet works usb doesn't

installed. outlet works but usb doesn't. going back to Lowes to get another one. Yes I would recommend it to a friend if it works.

Countertop simplified

For that outlet being the 'go to' for charging phones, banks or other USB devices, this combined receptacle has really simplified our counter top. Rather than having USB wall chargers waiting in queue on a duplex outlet, multiple devices can charge (up to four) and still have a120v (or two) available depending on model chosen. It has a deep body, think GFI with regard to install. I'm planning to add more...

Super easy installation

Just so you know, this product is only for a single series. So, if you take off the cover plate from your outlet and pull it out, if there are 2 or more white (hot) wires, then you cannot use this product. You can only connect 1 white (hot) wire, 1 neutral (black) and the ground wire. Other than that, works like a champ!

Its weird that it does not come with a plate to finish it off. only the outlet. And the box didn't state that it was not included. Weird.
