Bought it 2 years ago and I still use it weekly.

It cuts amazingly and very well-made… light weight but still packs a punch. The replacement batteries aren’t the best they gave me trouble. But I’m trying to get an actual kobalt brand battery because they say that there is a big difference.

very effective, very durable

The trimmer is easy to use, easy to load the string. The batteries last a long time. This my 2nd Kobalt trimmer. The head guard on the first one broke off, after warranty expired, but we still use it.

DID NOT COME WITH BATTERY

The battery by itself is wayyy more expensive than if you get one included. AVOID BUYING THIS. (Unless u already got a battery).

I have the leaf blower with battery. This works out great as a set. Plenty of power. Would have given 5 star except i feel product is a little heavy for yard work. My last trimmer was light and more efficient but gas

No replacement parts available and it's new?

head would not feed line,line installed from factory,sad that a new trimmer does not work properly

Amazing for first time purchasers!

My first weed trimmer - this works excellent! I can swap out the battery after mowing my front & back lawn with enough charge left!

Quiet, easy to use, powerful.

I like that this is battery powered and fairly quiet, compared to a gasoline trimmer. It is fairly balanced, and easy to operate. I can go through a lot of tall weeds and grass with little effort. Overall, a very good product.

Reliable and long life

This is my second Kobalt trimmer. First one lasted 10 years and still going strong.

Bad battery after 11 months can’t get it replaced

I like the 80 volt 16” trimmer. I do not like that I cannot get the battery replaced after having this unit for 11 months. Lowes and Kobalt advised me that this product is no longer available so they cannot replace it. They will refund the purchase price and allow me to chose a similar item. I can find the same item online so I’m very confused. Not sure how to proceed from here as Joe from customer service gave me a return to store authorization number and I find out I cannot get a replacement...

Lots of power, but still not too heavy

Awesome tool, I couldn’t be more pleased with the performance! This string trimmer easily blasts through very heavy overgrowth, weeds, and vines that would immediately bind up my previous trimmer. It fits my other Kobalt 80v batteries for my lawnmower. So far, I have just used it with my smaller 2.5Ah battery and still I run out of juice before it does. I have two of the bigger 5Ah 80v Kobalt batteries that also work with the tool, but haven’t had to use them yet. I caught it on a great sale...

Great product, good power; battery life and durability. Only downside is automatic line feeder worked for one day then crapped out. Same as my previous Kobalt; so other than manually letting line out I highly recommend!

black grip handle won't tighten enough to use

the black grip handle has a bolt & a nut built into a tightening knob to allow you to put it on & tighten it to set it where you want it. the nut is stripped so you can't get it tight, & you can't use it. that makes the whole thing unusable until I find a work around but I shouldn't have to do that

A Win for Kobalt

I was replacing my old weed eater and decided to match with my mower. Both 80v maxx batteries. I love this thing. The only thing I don't like is I prefer a drop in when I run out of string. I do not like doing the restring.and it may not be hard but it's inconvenient. And I did not know when I bought it that I couldn't use attachments with it. it's not extremely important but would be. nice addition. As a whole it's flawless. has plenty of power and although a lil heavy it's not as heavy as ...
