good tool

I've had this 60v trimmer for several years and have no issues with it. Granted, the 2ah battery isn't enough for a 1 acer lot without recharging 3 or 4 times, It's tremendously better than gas units. As far as other attachments, The only other one I use on this is the trimmer blade set made by Ryobi. It connects with no issues. I do prefer a battery that has more amps for longer cut time than the original 2ah, so I will be buying one soon.

This is a better product than the original product it replaced. The redesigned head makes it not only easy, but useable (something the old one almost wasn't).

Kobalt 80-volt 16-in Battery String Trimmer

I purchases this 80 volt 16 inch Kobalt Battery string trimmer because I already have a 80 volt Kobalt lawn mower and love it. This string trimmer is just what I needed for edging around my lawn and getting rid of the weeds in my back yard. I have over 1/2 acre of back yard that needs the weeds trimmed every once in a while. Excellent weed trimmer. The only issue I have is that Kobalt co. does not have the 80 volt 0.080 string. I was told to purchase another 0.080 brand of string. So I did. But...

can't replace the head

I've loved everything about it until it runs out of trimmer line. The line is hard to replace - especially after a few summers of use. You're supposed to twist the head to feed the new trimmer line in. Worked ok that way for a while. Eventually got impossible to twist. I've scoured the internet reading articles on replacing the head. No "UNIVERSAL" replacement head fits this trimmer. Cannot find parts. Extremely disappointed.

Loved It the 12 Times it Worked

I loved this package the first 8 or 10 times I used it. In fact I loved it so much I went back and bought the Kobalt blower. But after only a dozen uses the battery died and will no longer take a charge. Now I'm looking at close to $200 for a new battery.

Trimmer head complete

Do not buy this they never have the trimmer head complete (all parts of the head) I'm waiting ca month and a half

Don't count on getting other attachments

I've only had this for a few years, and already it's impossible to find a hedge trimmer attachment to put on this. I can purchase the ENTIRE hedge trimmer, but that defeats the entire reason we pay EXTRA for a modular tool. In desperation I looked for universal attachments and this brand is literally the only one that doesn't accept universal attachments. Motor failure

I've owned this model less than a year and the weed eater will no longer power up. I have 2 80v batteries and both fully charged. Today after 30 minutes of usage, the motor stopped. Thinking the battery was low, I switched to the 2nd battery, unfortunately the motor would not start. I noted the Start Green light was illuminated and would not turn off or on as the 'slow/fast' lights were not on either. Removing the battery the light went out, putting the battery pack back in, the green light came...

Cuts EVERYTHING!

Disappointing

I bought this trimmer to replace a Kobalt trimmer that broke after many years of good service. Since the battery was fine, I bought this, but it is not the same quality. The string brpke on first use and jammed the works. It is difficult to remove the cap to replace the string. My biggest complaint is that the guard is flimsy. It is much smaller than on the previous trimmer, and does a poor job of deflecting grass clippings.

Awkward

A little awkward to handle/balance. Surprisingly not much lighter than a gas model, but do like that it doesn't need gas and no rip cord to pull to start! It is a bit pricey.

An Excellent Trimmer Unit with Attachments

Plenty of power and battery longevity to trim my large yard. Light enough to tolerate, but I take breaks to alleviate the arm fatigue.
