Would Not RecommendBought this saw and used it for two hours. The saw cuts great, easy to control and use. The problem I have is that you cannot find a simple replacement part. I contacted both Kobalt and Lowe’s directly, after my oil fill cap hung on some brush, while cutting, and was lost. The saw is useless without the cap. I would not buy again had I known the Chinese parts are not available. Kudos to Lowes and Kobalt though, you can simply buy another one and use the original for parts.

I bought this for my son for his birthday. I already have one and I line it very much. I thought he would too. Unfortunately, he already had a similar one from a different manufacturer. I told him no problem, I’ll return it and get a gift card for you to shop with and find something you like. Well, come to find out there is a 48 hour return policy on chains from Lowe’s. The box was never opened but they still wouldn’t give me a refund. Buyer Beware. I was very unhappy with the circumstances!!!
