This is worth every dime I spent on this torque wrench.

Junk

I’ve had 2 of these and they are total junk. Won’t hold a setting. Constantly goes to error. You have to wait for it to clear out or remove the batteries and reinstall . If you need to cut it off and start it back up you can’t 4 small 0 err code comes up and won’t clear out. I’ve got a 40 year old craftsman torque wrench that I have to use and it’s accurate

Will Not Calibrate

Bad torque. Was doing suspension work on daughter's car, just seemed like wrong torque, grabbed my kobalt click type torque wrench I was right, digital was off by a few ft lbs. When selling a tool such as a torque wrench accuracy is important ! All my tools are Kobalt so hate to leave a neg review !

Gears Stripped at 80Ft-lbs

I was gifted this torque wrench without a receipt. I used it 5 times for values under 100Ft-Lbs. The fifth time broke the gears in the head. Come to find out Lowes does not have replacement gears as they do the battery caps and appear to not carry any digital torque wrenches anymore at my locations.

Battery cap is a fail

I like the wrench. Bought it for doing head gaskets that require degrees so i wouldnt have to use dial gauges. Used it about 5 times. Always have taken the batteries out when done with it. The last time i used it i went to remove the batteries and barely turning the cap one of the ears that retains it in place just snapped off. Cant find a replacement part number for the cap. Now i have basically a brand new digital tq paperweight that for the cost is a joke.

Storage case not included

For the price I would expect at least a storage case.

The one year warranty that this comes with is not worth the money spent in the wrench. Of course, its better priced than snap on but its still expensive for a paper weight. The battery cap is the fail point for mine, and I was unable to find a way to make it work. I have tons of kobalt tools this being the most expensive other than an air compressor and I will be not spending money on tools that are at lowes that do not have a warranty or some form of repair at a lesser than new cost.

Shipping was terrible

This expensive, calibrated tool was haphazardly packed and shipped. It fell out of the case and rattled around in the box. (pic included) Now, I'm not sure if I should trust that it is still accurate. Pretty disappointed.

Not cheap but get what you pay for.

As described, appears to be a quality tool not a Harbor Freight piece of junk.

package terribly

I placed an order with several items in a package the wrench was in the box loose as well as the sockets had all broken out of the package. this is a digital wrench I haven't checked yet to see if it works or was damaged in transport. There was very little packing material protecting these items

Calibration

I work for a ISO 17025 Certified calibration laboratory. Can you please provide the button sequence to re-calibrate this torque wrench? There is nothing listed in the manual, the store was not able to help and 1-888-3KOBALT did not have access to answer this question. If this wrench cannot be calibrated. Than do not sell it.

excellent torque wrench with exceptional range

bought this after I sheared the drain plug on my motorcycle in two after I couldn't hear my old click torque wrench actuate.. never again. this digital torque wrench is worth EVERY PENNY! eliminated both of my previous click torque wrenches, as this one goes all the way down to 5ft-lb wow!! instructions are a bit over the top (and get the glasses out - it's in like 5pt font...) but the tool works well and accurately, highly recommend.

Maybe good for light duty

I purchased two of these for use at my company, one was faulty out of the box and kept turning off because the battery was loose. The other one stripped the gears insude after a month or two and didn't work at all. Not long after the gears stripped in the second one. They were subjected to frequent use, but well within the rated range for the wrenches. Very disappointed, they did not work out for us.

Great tool so far...I'm impressed.

Replaced a 50 year old Craftsmen and decided to go digital. Love the memory feature and not having to dial the torque each time. Also, be careful that you don't accidentally change the torque setting by hitting one of the buttons by mistake. The lights and audible sound when torque is reached works great. Checked the accuracy with a torque tool and its well within the stated tolerance advertised. Ny old torque wrench was off by 10+ lbs (light) and the main reason I upgraded. I would purcha...

Did the job

Did the job for me. Well I did the job, the torque wrench did its part and worked just as it was supposed to. Could have definitely been cheaper but I can say that about most things these days.
