Fantastic Kit

This was one of the best 1/4" drive socket sets ever made. It includes all of the most common sizes for small projects. It even has socket-driver torx and hex bits, which is hard to find in a kit. Wish I could find some more sets to buy, but it's been discontinued.

Good but poor

I bought this kit back in 2018, not sure exact date. Lifetime warranty so figured it be worth it. First noted the issue with the case, plastic and snapped together. Always had an issue with pulling the drawers out since they would get stuck and/or cause one of the sides of the case to pop apart. Figured it would get easier with use or maybe a little lubrication. Seriously?

I ordered this online. I never would have purchased it had I actually seen it. My first clue was the case, which looks like it's manufactured by Fisher Price or Playskool. The clasp is so loose and flimsy, it wouldn't even hold the case closed. When you dare try to open it, many of one side's items fall out because the indentations don't hold them tight enough in place. I took one look at the size of the ratchet and nearly laughed. Mostly good, some less good

I bought a Kobalt set (this one) because Lowe's backs it up, the sockets are colored nicely for American and metric, and the numbers are easy to read. It was on sale for about $50, which is the max I would pay for it. That's me. It is a solid set and case,, but there are a couple of notable drawbacks. The ratchets and other long pieces are annoyingly difficult to remove from the case. Awesome set for the money

I've torn down motors and performed maintenance on every motorized thing I have with this set. I've had it for a few years now, and the only thing I've had break is the bit tip screwdriver which I never really depend on anyway. I broke it prying with it which is obviously not the use intended. For $99 it's worth every penny. Great set. Only thing to me it lacks is some adapters for 3/8 to 1/2 and vice versa.

Just what I needed

I’m no handyman but this kit has everything I need for my home projects. The price is great for the amount of tools and organization box they store and carry in. The quality of the tools have worked well for my needs.

Great tools, horrible customer svc!

Had fist ordering this item over the phone and computer. Purchasing as a gift for my son and I almost just sent him cash instead. Cust Service was awful!

Quality minus the case

The tools themselves are as expected. For the price and the quantity, it's hard to beat as well as the lifetime warranty. Where this product does fail is the case. The photos are right out of the box after picking up from Lowes. The plastic molds themselves are too small and don't sit properly on the molded rails. So each drawer falls onto the next making access harder requiring to pull our the above tray to access the ones below. If the plastic was harder it would hold up better. The case itse...

Slightly deceiving

Overall, every tool seems quality. I was surprised to find that there seems to be no 1/2 drive sockets, just an adapter. I was also confused to find no wrenches from 7mm-10mm. With 10mm being a very popular wrench size, I don't find this to be very acceptable. If someone from kobalt could explain the reason behind these issues to me it would be very appreciated

Comprehensive

What a massive and awesome set! This box has everything in it, and the tools are great. I used the sockets doing some maintenance on my truck, and they performed as expected. The variety of screwdriver bits will be very helpful. I already have a couple applications in mind, but just can't get to it during quarantine. Almost perfect

Wow what a well thought out set of tools. I have had several tool sets from Kobalt over the years and this one almost earned 5 stars. DO NOT BUY THIS

Case is garbage and fell apart the same day I purchased the set. Attempted to put the case back together several times and it has never stayed together. Completely unusable. Junk. Regardless if you can use the tools or not do not buy this because you won't have a place to store everything.

Every item you could use and then some

Loved the case. A little hard to close. Have to tilt the tray a little pushing them in. The polished sockets are awesome. Love the etched size on each socket. The wrenches are thin but strong. Great complete mechanic's set

This tool set is professional quality in every way. The individual trays are removable, allowing the user to carry the tray with him to the task. And the trays can be place into different slots so that you can put the seldom used tray on the bottom if you'd like. Every slot in the trays are marked and firmly holds the tool in place. Kobalt Tool Set

This is a very nice tool set. It covers most any tool you will need in one convient place. They are heavy duty and well made. The case although plastic seems to be made pretty well. The drawers are a little troublesome sliding in and out, but that will prevent spillage of the tools. Overall it is a really nice well made set of tools. I would definitely recommend this set of tools.
