What Customers Are Saying
The Kobalt pipe wrench appears to be a mixed product in terms of quality and performance. Many customers found it well-made and effective at gripping and loosening pipes, praising its grip, weight, and ability to handle tough plumbing jobs. However, a significant number of customers were disappointed with the wrench's grip and ability to securely hold onto pipes, with some describing it as ineffective. The overall consensus suggests the wrench's effectiveness may vary, and customers should carefully consider their specific needs before purchasing.

Great buy.
Would RecommendPurchased 2 of these. I do pipe fitting with stainless , black pipe, brass, etc. Honestly only tried these due to rigid being out of stock in the area and needed a set of wrenches right away. Both are great and I have no issues setting or getting the jaws to bite, Comfortable in the hand too. Would definitely recommend and I am definitely going to try some of the other Kobalt line tools as well.
Don't buy tjis
Would Not RecommendIt had very poor gripping. Kept slipping off pipe. My old pipe wrench did that after 5 yrs of work, this one did it right away

Junk.
Would Not RecommendThe teeth are either too dull or too soft to grip a pipe. I was able to get better results from a smaller, cheaper wrench from another retailer known for cheap tools.
Pipe Wench
Would Not RecommendVery disappointed in this pipe wrench. For some reason it just would not grab the pipe. I had to hold the jaws with one hand so they would clamp on the pipe while using my other hand to loosen or tighten whatever I was doing. It would be impossible to use two wenches, one tow hold and one to turn. I have three other pipe wenches that are over 30 years old and work perfectly. I would NOT recommend these wrenches.
