Ratings & Reviews for Kobalt 6-in 2 -Piece Plastic Strap Wrench

Did the trick on stuck water filter housing

I couldn't get the water filter housing off with the usually-supplied plastic "wrench" that comes with the filter. So, a trip to the store, one strap wrench later, and off it comes! Thanks to this being a 2-piece set, I now have one for the RV filter, and one for the house filter. Only concern: The instructions say "turn in direction of arrow on tool". I can find no arrow on the tool. Use right-hand rule, you'll figure out which way to turn.

Does the job very well

The smaller strap wrench (4 in) helped me tremendously with removing a rifle handguard nut that I applied too much medium strength threadlocker on.

Works for removing round faucet bonnet nuts

I had an round bonnet nut on my tub faucet that wouldn't come off without this tool. That might be all I use this tool for, but totally worth it.

Quality product

Easy to adjust strap wrench. Made removing pool pump connections a breeze.

Easy to use

Strap wrenches are generally easy to use, so the Kobalt variety sporting rubber straps instead of fabric was a surprise. The rubber grips better than fabric material on other strap wrenches and boosted the available leverage. Good design and excellent value.

Kobalt Strap Wrench Set

Outstanding pair of strap wrenches. I was able to remove the impeller from a water pump with ease!

Simple and effective

My dominant arm/hand is in a sling and I could not use it to help undo and under sink water filter, however with the Kobalt strap wrench, I was easily able to do it with the no dominant had and with our any fuss. It was simple to use and effective.

Worked Perfectly

We were hoping to use these to unscrew two pieces of PVC without damaging the fitting. These worked perfectly!

Awesome set

Great strap wrenched. I broke an old chain version, these seem much more sturdy.

Works as intended

I used it to open up a tub shower sleeve which was very hard to open with no of wrenches I tried, but it worked very well with this strap wrench with a lot less effort.

Will not hold adjustment.

Difficult to adjust, during use adjustment slips, requiring both hands to use.
