Ratings & Reviews for Kobalt 126 -Piece Standard (SAE) and Metric Mechanics Tool Set with Hard Case
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the tool set for its comprehensive quality, extensive assortment of SAE and metric sockets, screwdrivers, hex bits, and reliable ratchet with clear laser-etched markings and color-coding. Most highlight the chrome-plated finish, solid construction, and durability as excellent craftsmanship. However, many express significant frustration with the storage case, describing it as flimsy and prone to breaking, with drawers that slide uncontrollably and latches that fail. Despite the case issues, most consider the tools themselves exceptional and worthwhile.

Would Not RecommendIt was a great set with lots of sockets in both SAE and metric. But the case doesn’t stay closed very well and the ratchet slips the first time I’m trying to use it.

Great Product
Would RecommendI am a newbie at doing my own repairs on my vehicle so I was in a crunch and needed a few tools to complete the job. This tool set delivered everything I needed to replace my brakes on my 2013 Equinox.

Good wrench set
Would RecommendThis is a nice wrench set, covers most of the bases for someone who doesn't already have a bunch of sockets laying around. If I was going to buy again, I'd probably buy some smaller sets because I don't have a need for all the amount of SAE things in there, and it doesn't fit conveniently into a larger toolbox. Not really problems with the product though. If there's one complaint, sometimes its kind of hard to get the sockets out of the case.

decent set.
Would Recommendpicked this up tonreplace my old set. can't complain. does what it supposed to do. wish it would have came with some combo wrenches but other than that a good set.
Good economy set
Would RecommendGot it on sale. Has a good ratchet and nice assortment of 6 point sockets. Hard to find decent 1/2 sets. Plus I like the color coding for the sockets.

Not ideal for carrying around
Would Not RecommendNot overly impressed. The trays stick when trying to slide them out and they sometimes slide all the way out when carrying set.

very clean set
Would RecommendLike others have said, the case could use an improvement. I was driving home with it and all the drawers opened. That is the biggest complaint. It holds a lot of different bits and tools so that is a plus. Kobalt is always easy to deal with and has a lifetime warranty.
