Be careful - you may not get what you wanted

I ordered a weed eater head for my Kobalt - she sent me the wrong size - I ordered a 40 volt and received a head for an 80 volt - now I have to drive an hour ( one way ) to take to the store in Corbin to get my money refunded - Not a happy customer Er

Need an allen wrench

This was fast and easy. All you need is an allen wrench to keep the head from spinning to unscrew the whole head. It is on top to the side where shaft meets the part you are removing. Then just screw on the new one!!!

Don’t buy this, it matches, doesn’t fit the shaft

Can't find replacement parts

I have a Kobalt 2580-06 Trimmer and need a new bump knob. Can't find it anywhere on the web. Went to store and they have very few parts for their own brand. Called the number for Lowes replacement parts several times and each time the reps act as though they have no idea what's going on. I will be buying a new trimmer, not from Lowes, and it definitely will not be Kobalt. Shame on Lowes for developing a product that I have to throw away because Lowes doesn't support their own brand of produ...

There must be two models

Thr product is for a Kobalt 80 volt trimmer but it does NOT fit my 80 volt trimmer.

I bought this item as it was described to fit the Kobalt 80v trimmer. It did not fit on the shaft of my original Kobalt 80v string trimmer. I believe the thread pitch is different because out of my many attempts, there were a couple of times I was able to spin it on and it seemed almost perfectly level, yet it would still get stuck after at most a couple of turns. When I gave up after 15 or 20 minutes trying I was able to get the old one on easily in the first attempt. I will make do with it as ...

Don't Buy this if you have a Model KST 2580-06

I was looking for a replacement head for my Model KST 2580-06 trimmer and the Lowe's search shows this a the correct replacement. NOT EVEN CLOSE. While I really like the trimmer it is impossible to find the correct replacement part and even if you do the instruction manual does not tell you how to take the old head off. So now I am stuck with a part that I really can not use although I was able to make the bump line kind of work at least somewhat. Lowe's should be ashamed of themselves ...
