OK, trimmer line isn't a real sexy item, but I was getting pretty frustrated trying to wind the line for my trimmer. This baby worked like a charm and actually helped me figure out what I had been doing wrong. The time saving and convenience was great.

I bought a 40volt kobolt trimmer. The trimmer does a great job and the charge lasts enough for me to use it on my lawn size 1/2 acre. The only hang up is it uses a lot of string. The string just isn’t as strong as some others.

If you can't wind new string on a spool, this is what you need. You can pop out the old spool and insert the new one!! Very easy!!!

Quick & easy

Although we'd heard that you can re-string our original spool, I decided to go ahead and order the Kobalt replacement spool and I'm so glad I did! Turns out I had an unexpected & urgent medical issue arise that required a week long hospital stay and urgent surgery. This all happened at the same time our dear neighbor put her house on the market & we'd committed to making sure our yard looked great at all times for her showings. Fast forward a few days & we learn she has an open house scheduled...

Needed this more for reference than for use. Directions with the weed eater showed the line wound the wrong way and it locked up when trying to feed the line. Buying this allowed me to see the correct rotation.

Easy to install works fine.

My 11 year old granddaughter installed this spool on my trimmer. It tackled tall weeds and evenly trimmed around buildings and trees. The line has not broken at all.
